Description
A copy of a list of questions for Mozart's widow, Constanze Mozart, compiled by Vincent Novello in preparation for his and his wife's visit to her. Novello intended to write a biography of Mozart but the project was unrealised. The list of questions includes enquiries about his career, singing and speaking voice, thoughts on other composers and his own compositions, his reading preferences, circle of friends, portrait likenesses, his character and lifestyle. Originally found as part of Vincent's Novello's travel diaries for his trip across Europe with his wife Mary Sabilla Novello in the summer of 1829.
