Description

A lithographic print of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven, published in Vienna in 1824, attached to which is a lock of Beethoven's hair. It was gifted to Vincent Novello by their mutal friend, the harp maker J.A. Stumpff. In her memoir, 'Clara Novello's Reminiscences' (1910) Vincent Novello's daughter suggests that it was given to him by his friend, the Italian composer and double bass virtuoso Domenico Dragonetti (p. 125).
