The Stancliffe Family owned property in Yorkshire, notably Sion House at Thirsk, and in Macclesfield, Cheshire. In 1894 he married Ethel Annie Rowland Schofield (1869-1932) in 1894. The couple had two sons. From 1911-1914 Percy paid for the building of Sion House. His architect was Walter Brierley (1862-1926).
