Description
The box numbers refer to the 7 Stancliffe family boxes in Liddle. These relate to Percy Stancliffe and his sons Richard and George Stancliffe.
Box 5: Two game books which probably belonged to William Waltham Stancliffe. There is an insert in the book for 1885-86 comprising of an excerpt from the game book for 1891-92. The second book covers 1886-94. The third is labelled labelled Percy Stancliffe, and covers 1901-38. Also a visitors' book which records visitors to Sion House, 1919-1951.
Box 7: letters and certificates relating to Percy's service in the Provisional Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, Home Service Coastal Defence. Two photographs of Percy in uniform in an envelope marked 1 for Dick, 1 for George. There is also some miscellaneous material.
