2) bronze World War One Memorial Plaque [popularly called “Dead Man’s Penny”] commemorating his death
3) dog tag from the 10th West Yorkshire Regiment
4) Silver case engraved with his initials A.V.R [possibly used for calling cards/cigarette papers].
Biography or history
Ratcliffe, Alfred Victor (d 1916) known as Victor. Lieutenant, 10th Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment. He was killed in action, 1 July 1916.He was nephew of Lord Brotherton.
