A.Campbell (GS) Diary: "left our camp on 20th [Nov.] for big stunt, got to Harincourt Wood about 3pm. Tanks tore line up. Fine sight, troops of prisoners came down". 25th-28th November: "Oh what a time er have had: shelled, bombed, gassed. 2 killed, 5 wounded ... gas terrible, oh I am sick of it all at present. This is the 8th Dec. - just come through a shocking night of shells, still alive, thank God".
