The file contains papers relating to two booklets White compiled for the Friends of Baroque Music in Yorkshire:
1) 'A Taste of the Baroque: Recipes for a Seventeenth Century Feast';
2) 'Not just afternoon tea: A Collection of 18th Century celebratory recipes from the Stanhope Family Archive.'
The booklets were written in aid of the Leeds Baroque Choir and Orchestra. 'Not just afternoon tea' was published to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the choir and orchestra.
The booklets draw on recipes in the the Spencer Stanhope Collection, particularly ones written by Ann Stanhope née Spencer, of Cannon Hall near Burnley. The file contains are handwritten notes by White giving a history of the family, recipes and menus. There are index cards with White's bibliographic references and handwritten research notes.
The file includes typed and handwritten drafts of the booklets and a review of 'Not just afternoon tea'.
The file contains flyers for two seminars with White on 'Baroque Food and Feasts' and papers relating to talks. There is a leaflet for Calderdale Museums & Arts, September to January 1993/94, a leaflet for Leeds Baroque concert season March-October 2023 and a programme for 'A Baroque Christmas' with Leeds Baroque Choir & Orchestra 2021. The file contains various papers relating to the Friends of Leeds Baroque.
