Description
Black and white and colour photographs and negatives of architecture and landscapes in France, Italy, East Africa and the United Kingdom, taken by Maurice de Sausmarez. Includes enlarged photographs overlaid with grids to enable the image to be translated into a drawing or painting and photographs of Bedford possibly taken by de Sausmarez as part of his involvement in the Pilgrim Trust Recording Britain Scheme during World War Two. Five Kodak paper wallets contain photographs and negatives from de Sausmarez's trip to Uganda and Kenya in 1952, to visit University College of East Africa, Makerere.
