Description

A rectangular cuneiform tablet in pink clay with rounded sides and the bottom corner missing. This piece has been broken across the centre and repaired.

The label describes it as
"Babylonian tablet of baked clay, inscribed in cuneiform characters, with a long list of baskets, etc. containing fish, dates, and animals, also animal skins containing grain, etc."
"Akkadian period, about 2500 B.C."

Additional description

Housed in a custom made leather book shaped box with red velvet lining and metal clasp.
