Description
Documents relating to Maurice de Sausmarez's health, including the implications of rheumatic heart disease on his war service and employment, his hospitalisation in March 1957 and return to work at the University of Leeds in early 1958. He was initially treated for the heart condition that was a consequence of childhood rheumatic fever at the Brotherton Wing of Leeds General Infirmary, before what was described in his divorce petition as a severe nervous breakdown in August 1957, after which he was transfered to Scalebor Park Hospital in Burley in Wharfdale. Also includes immunisation cards for his daughter Emma de Sausmarez from 1963 to 1965.
