Several plates signed by Lock; attribution from Winterthur catalog, v. 8, p. 228.
Spine title: Chippendale's ornaments & designs &c.
Plates 1-6 are from Mattias[Matthew] Lock, Six Tables; plates 7-12 are from Vivares and Anthony Walker; plate 13 was used as title plate to Robert Sayer's re-issue of Lock in c.1768, but is by Glazier; plates 14-18 are from Lock, A new drawing book of ornaments for looking glass frames; plates 19-24 are from the second suite from Lock, A new drawing book of ornaments, shields. John Bedford's identification. Re-issued by M Taylor c.1840 and c.1850 is next edition with title page corrected to read Lock not Chippendale.
