Description

A silk satin woven brocade which then has had batik applied and dyed in pinks. The cloth is a 'pagi sore' ('morning and afternoon') piece, with two different patterns across the piece so it can be worn two ways to show either a lightl batik at one end and heavey batik at the other end. The base pattern of the brocade weave is of grape vines whilst the additional batik design is of tendrils of flowers and leaves.

Relates to the slendang ITC 2022.29.
