Contains the correspondence and papers of Thomas Scattergood, mainly produced during his time as Dean of the Yorkshire College Medical Department.


Includes: Scattergood's personal certificates for medical training; lists of student examination results; bundles of lecturer's memoranda as to attendance of students in each session; correspondence files, mainly relating to matters of student attendance and discipline, arrangements for various courses, the Pathological Museum and the Library.

Biography or history

Thomas Scattergood was the first Dean of the Yorkshire College Medical Department, serving from 1884-1900.
