Description

The papers include a pamphlet entitled 'Are we oppressed' containing collected contributions from early UPIAS circulars. There are documents generated by UPIAS which encompass its aims and a policy statement and associated drafts dated 1974-1976. The file also contains papers relating to its constitution, reports and leaflets.


The file includes correspondence between Vic Finkelstein and Dick Leaman about disability issues. This incorporates discussions of the British Council of Disabled People (BCODP) and Corporations for Independent Living (CILs).
