The papers include correspondence about the International Stoke Mandeville Games much of it about the inclusion of a team from South Africa and the banning of Maggy Jones from competing by the British Paraplegic Sports Society in 1979. They also contain a pamphlet 'IYDP NGO News, 1981; pamphlets 'Sport, disabled people and the fight against apartheid' May 1983; four copies of a briefing document 'Disabled people in South Africa - separate and unequal' one dated May 1982, one May 1983, two June 1985, a report about South Africa and the British Transplant Games; copy of 'Focus on political repression in Southern Africa', May-June 1980, report entitled 'The Making of a movement: Safod evaluation 1991' by D. Leaman and Y. Fricke and a report entitled 'Disability in Cuba' dated 1985. There are flyers produced by Disabled People Against Apartheid, papers for the Anti-Apartheid Health Committee, photocopies of newspaper articles, file of papers about Bernard Leach pulling out of the the Stoke
Mandeville games, papers on healthcare in South Africa. Also includes a file of Dick Leaman's papers, a file labelled Vic Finklestein and a file of papers related to the Socialist Disability Action Group.
The papers were almost certainly collected by Liz Finkelstein who was on the Anti-Apartheid Movement Health Committee in 1980.
