Photographs and correspondence between William Webb, his wife Margaret Webb and Mrs McGrigor Phillips [DUR] concerning his establishment and work of the British Gypsy Mission (BGM).

Biography or history

William Webb appears to have set up the British Gypsy Mission in 1955 following his resignation from the Church of Scotland. Papers include reference to Mr and Mrs McGrigor Phillips being asked to be President of the organisation and the suggestion of Dora E Yates for Vice President. [it is not clear if any of them took up this role]
