Description
Schoolboy [? Stephen Sissons, recorded in a pub in Wetwang] describes children's games - jacks, hide and seek (including the dipping rhyme 'One Potato Two Potato'), Block (similar to hide and seek), Bulldog, All Across, Hopping Johnny, Hound and Hares (all chasing games, played in Wetwang in the late 1950s); describes Tig and recites a dipping rhyme to choose It; describes ball games Eggity Budge, Offground, leap frog, Dodge Ball, Ringy, Passball and rounders; describes the chasing game Mr. Wolf (two versions).
