Description
Mr. Leslie Feather preparing a riddling board with semolina for making oatcakes, in his shop, Haworth (West Yorkshire). The semolina is sprinkled liberally over the riddling board from a special semolina bowl. In the foreground is a large slipware bowl containing a mixture of oatmeal and water, which has been left to ferment overnight. Clamped to its side is an iron vice, in which a ladle sits. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1564. With ms. note.
