Description

Informant Percy Metcalfe riding modern Dales working pony carrying bales of hay (possibly for winter feed) pannier-fashion up to a barn on the moors at Shoregill Head, near Gunnerside ( Swaledale). The pony is being followed by a dog. Swaledale landscape visible in background. Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P0524. With ms. notes on the Dales pony.
