This subseries contains items on aspects of folk drama. The subject matter includes general papers on folk drama; papers on aspects of traditional drama from a conference held at the University of Sheffield; Nottinghamshire and other folk play texts collected by Peter Millington; Tony Green's record of mumming in the West Riding of Yorkshire; Pace Egg play texts; correspondence on pace-egging and mumming in Brighouse (West Yorkshire); a copy of an ms. by Sidney Oldall Addy including Pace Egg plays; Frank Weatherill's notes on the Goathland Plough Stots; Tony Green's notes on Plough Monday and related drama; and the texts of mumming plays and traditional drama from localities in Lincolnshire, Cheshire, Oxfordshire, Northumberland, Durham and Stirlingshire.
