Description
This subseries contains items relating to annual festivals. This includes items on bonfire traditions, Christmas traditions, New Year, Valentine's Day, Shrove Tuesday customs, Easter Eggs, May Day and other local celebrations. The items on bonfires and Easter Eggs includes information collected during surveys conducted from the Institute of Dialect and Folk Life Studies for the Folk Life Survey. The items on Christmas traditions include student survey papers produced as part of the undergraduate degree in Folk Life Studies at Leeds.
