Description
A collection of popular songs recorded in 1973/1974 from informants living in and around the Bexleyheath area of London. Text and (some) tune transcriptions are presented, with comments from the collector. The songs collected are arranged according to subject matter - love, the home, family, war, morals, social songs, travel, Ethiopian Serenaders [Music Hall act] and comedy. An alphabetical index to the songs and Tape Tables of Contents are included.
