Original letters sent from Burma; XII Army Certificate; Poetry.
An accrual in 2024 comprises a letter from Lushai Hills, dated 24 December 1942, a letter from Imphal, Manipur, dated 10 June 1943 with an envelope dated 12 June and one from Shillong, Assam, dated 29 July 1943. There is also a pamphlet entitled 'We Fight, The nation speaks' Guardian Series No. 14.
Biography or history
Patrick George McEvoy was born in Settle, Yorkshire on 22nd December 1992. His parents were Patrick Edward McEvoy and Mabel McEvoy, née Ambler. Patrick George was a gunner, with the 129th Lowland Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, serving in in India and Burma.
