St. Christopher carries the Christ Child, who is holding a globe and raising his hand in blessing, over the stream. The house of the hermit can be seen on the hill top.

The historiated initial shows Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, while his disciples sleep. The border is decorated with speedwells, strawberries, pimpernels, acanthus leaves and a bird.
