Initial 'P' encloses the scene of the beheading of Hophni or Phineas. The border has a hybrid of a bird with an animal head.
Chronologia: hoc est, omnium temporum et annorum ab initio mundi, usque ad hunc praesentem a nato Christo annum M.D.LXI. computatio. Quæ in priore editione tantùm ad annum Christi 1552. pertingebat: nunc autem ab ipso autore est aucta, multis in locis correcta, & usque ad annum 1570. producta : In qua methodice enumerantur omnium populorum, regnorumq[ue] memorabilium origines ac successiones. Item omnes eorum Reges, quando quisq[ue] cœperit, quàmdiu regnarit, quid dignum memoria gesserit, quis status populi Dei fuerit: ac quemadmodum translata sint imperia, à populo in populum &c. Et si qui viri illustres, quæ facinora egregia, ac si quid amplius memoratu dignum extitit, ea omnia breviter suis locis referuntur. Suntq[ue] in hac computatione omnia tempora, tùm ex Sacris Bibliis, cùm ex optimis quibusq[ue] authoribus, historicis, & astronomorum observationibus, summa fide ac diligentia conciliata.
