Note: Letter of 26 March 1879, and one undated letter are incomplete. Letter of 16 September 1917 is torn. The letter of 8 December 1897, and an attached letter, undated, but probably written a few days later, concern a poem by Dobson beginning "Who Can Dwell With Greatness?", a copy of which in Sir Edmund Gosse's handwriting is attached. Letter of [November 1906?]: enclosed is a letter from Dobson to Gosse dated 13 November 1906 and an undated draft of a letter from Dobson to "Dear Lady D." [Lady
