Biography or history
The Leeds School of Medicine was founded in 1831, and became the Medical Department of the Yorkshire College in 1884. Buildings have been occupied by the School of Medicine at: (1) No. 1, East Parade, 1831-1865, (2) Park Street, 1865-1894; Architect: George Corson, (3) Thoresby Place (Mount Pleasant) (now known as the "Old Medical School") 1894-1979; Architect: W. H. Thorp, (4) Worsley Medical and Dental Building, 1979-.
