Description

The album, presumably at one time the property of the Miss Morgan named on the front cover, contains a total of 20 pieces of music, variously printed and manuscript, all for voice (words given) with the exception of "XII Solos for a violin" by Corelli. The printed items date from 1717 to ca.1755. There are fifteen manuscript items, including works by Handel, Purcell, and Pepusch.

Front cover bears a red leather label with 'Miss Morgan' in gilt. On title-page of first item: These Cantata's Given to me as very valuable (18th-century hand?). Modern pencilled table of contents on flyleaf.
