Comprises 3 autograph letters from John Hullah, the first to an unnamed recipient, the second to Mr W.H. Butterfield, and the third to 'Mr Marshall', dated 13 January 1842, 21 January 1842, and simply 'Thursday' respectively (with transcripts), 2 autographs of John Hullah, 1 of which is dated 1843, an engraving of a bust of 'Mr. Hullah' extracted from the press, 3 advertisements concerning Hullah's musical events also extracted from the press, a caricature of Hullah as 'The Singing Mania', an article concerning 'The inauguration of St. Martin's Hall' under Hullah extracted from 'The Penny Illustrated News', No. 18, Vol. I, for Saturday, 23 February, 1850, and another entitled 'Mr. Hullah' extracted from 'The Guardian'.
The material was formerly bound into a volume containing also transcripts of the letters, which is now shelved in a separate author/alphabetical sequence following the main sequence of Miscellaneous Letters.
