Description

Comprises 1 autograph letter from Buckstone to Robert Keeley dated 22 January [1858], with a note appended in the handwriting of Robert Keeley (and with a transcript), and 1 printed and autographed portrait of Buckstone as 'The author of 'Victorine'' (a press-cutting). The bound volume also contains a typescript biography of Buckstone which is much fuller than that found in the Dictionary of National Biography.


The material was formerly bound into a volume containing also a transcript of the letter, which is now shelved in a separate author/alphabetical sequence following the main sequence of Miscellaneous Letters.
