Description

65 volumes containing the diaries of Geoffrey Ramsden (1915-1993) including diaries kept during his service in the Second World War, mainly statoned in the area surrounding the Red Sea and South Africa. Alongside the War Diaries are ephemera collected during service such as Bank notes from various countries, ticket stubs of events attended and pamphlets and booklets collected.

He details his every day life in Leeds and notes down interesting events and statistics such as outcomes of political votes, what books he has read and walks he has gone on.There are also two seperate voumes containing details of holidays and trips taken including costings.
