Description

A diagonal white stripe of the dagger or parang motif incorporates orange double headed birds, against a dark red stripe and parang motif with natural elements.

This piece, purchased from a workshop, is an example of batik-like printing, produced in large quantites to make uniforms for schools and civil servant.

The double-headed bird motif is the symbol of the Sultanate of Ternate.
