Description
Gabirel Tchalik, violin; Dania Tchalik, piano.
"This album is the world premiere of the complete works for violin by Russian composer Boris Tishchenko, both a friend and student of Shostakovich. In order to highlight his position as a significant witness of the post-Stalinian era, a parallel is drawn between his music and 12 previously unpublished drawings by Oscar Rabin - a major organiser of the well known "Bulldozer exhibition" that was destroyed in Moscow by the Soviet Regime in 1974. Texts by Frans Lamaire and Nicolas Bokov."--Back of container.
