Description

A letter dated 29 June 1929, regarding the assessment of cuneiform tablets, sent from C.J. Gadd, Department of Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities, the British Museum to Mr Ogden.

Includes a 3 page list detailing the inscriptions and dates of 11 cuneiform tablets and 1 seal belonging to Mr B.W.G. Kent. The descriptions from the list were typed typed out as individual labels with the tablets held in Kent's collection.

A photographic postcard which shows the six tablets donated by Mr Kent laid out together with the letter and individual labels. A display label or note suggesting the tablets are not from 'Khorsabad' , instead 'Tall Jokha in South Babylonia, the Ancient City of Umma', this comes from script in red from the list.
