Description
A blue and orange semi-precious stone beaded necklace containing intermittent gold beads, restrung in the 20th century with multi-coloured silk [?] tassel ends (102 stone beads graduating in size, 6 gold).
On the box it is describes as a "Gold and Fancy stone neckless from the Princess of Ur, Tomb of Ur."
Boxed with two gold beads and a gold decorative semi-round object or bead, in seperate plastic phials. Also a 20th century gold brooch back pin.
Additional description
Housed in a red and white card box with a blue and white geometric design on the lid, and a James R. Ogden & sons label. A white silk handkerchief covers the necklace.
The beads are in separate plastic phials: one with no label, one with an illegible label, and one with the label '40,03g' Card box is labelled as 'Box 1 Number 11'.
Date range takes into account 20th century items.
