The campaign was launched in October 1994, with leaflets and posters. In 1993 the Home Office also contributed funds to the screening costs for Women's Aid's cinema filler on domestic violence called 'Don't Stand For It', which ran in Pearl and Dean cinemas throughout the UK from October 1993 to January 1994, reaching a projected audience of 2 million people. For this new campaign the filler was shown again in 350 Pearl and Dean screens in England and Wales for six weeks from Friday 28 October.
