Biography or history
Metropolitan Police awareness campaign, contributed to by Women's Aid, in which all domestic violence-related contact was counted by police services throughout the UK on Thursday 28 September 2000: 'The Day to Count'. The count was coordinated and report written by Professor Elizabeth Stanko, Director of the Economic and Social Research Council's Programme on Violence at Royal Holloway, University of London. An in-depth analysis of the findings was presented at the 'Enough is Enough' International Conference on Domestic Violence, hosted in London by the Metropolitan Police on 29-30 October 2000.
