Description
This collection of press cuttings was collated by Durrant's Press Cuttings Ltd. before being sent on to Women's Aid offices. The clipping company paper includes the newspaper, location and date of the article. This series has been ordered around geographical areas.
In other newspaper cutting series the Durrant papers have been mounted onto index cards by Women's Aid, but this isn't the case here.
From other newspaper clipping series we know that Durrant's were instructed to collect articles relating to 'Women's Aid' or 'Battered Wives' (as was the term used at the time), though this isn't marked on this series of cards.
This information has all been documented in the attached index, which we recommend exploring, downloading and making the most of the search function to pull out key words, topics and specific dates.
When requesting to view this sub-series in our research centre you can then accompany your request with the number codes of articles you would like to examine.
System of arrangement
These press cuttings are organised geographically.
