Yitzhak Ibn Kalfon was one of the fathers of the Sephardic school in our poetry. He developed its themes, forms and style and even served as an example and role model for the great writers who came after him. The author discovered the verses of Ibn Kalfon's poems in the wonderful collection of manuscripts from the Egyptian Genizah. The article includes a list of all the manuscripts in which Ibn Kalfon's poems appeared as well as new excerpts from Ibn Kalfon's works.
