Description
Finance Group was started in 1975 after the original Women's Aid Constitution was written. They are accountable to the general meeting held at the Women's Aid conferences and between conferences they are accountable to the National Coordinating Group. They manage Women's Aid finances, carrying out tasks such as: paying National Worker Salaries, managing conference budgets, distributing donation money to regions, collecting membership fees, managing donations, assessing applications from Women's Aid regions and sub-groups for additional funds, and preparing and presenting annual budgets. They have a close relationship with National coordinating Group and the Women's Aid Trust.
Fundraising Group began in 1995 and was concerned with raising money to help fund all aspects of Women's Aid's work through grant applications and encouraging donations from individuals and organisations. Fundraising Group often worked together with Finance Group, meaning their material often overlaps discusses similar things.
Due to close relationships with other administrative areas of Women's Aid, this series can include material relating to National Coordinating Group and Women's Aid Trust, and likewise finance material can often be found in these series.
