Description
This group of records comprises administrative, audiovisual and animation materials created by the Workshop in the process of making their films.
The film files are some of the key records in the Workshop archive and include the administrative records relating to the funding, production, publicising and distribution of the films, providing a rich resource for research into the Workshop's processes of filmmaking.
There is a large sample of animation artworks in this collection representing the films. As well as initial designs, the artworks include background scenes, characters and props for cel and 2D cut-out animation. The artworks for the never-made films are the only evidence of these initial ideas, as films for these projects were never produced.
This collection of records includes:
- Project research files
- Film files
- Animation artworks
- Scripts and storyboards
- Audio visual materials
- Photographs
