Description

Mailings were sent out by Women's Aid Federations as a way of spreading information to affiliated groups. They either accompanied newsletters or worked as a form of newsletter, bringing together key pieces of information from across the organisation. The format is often more informal than newsletters, taking the form of collated pieces of loose paper. Material could include news items, press releases, job adverts, meeting minutes and agendas, National Coordinating Group work, other Women's Aid sub-groups' work, conference planning, staff procedures, external organisations work, and upcoming dates or actions needed for demonstrations and campaigning.

System of arrangement

Items are arranged according to original order, which in this case tends to run chronologically.
