Description

[Side 1] Joe recalls childhood pastimes, compares village school now and in past, talks about father's work as woodman, reflects on wages to bring up nine children, describes killing and curing pig, remembers hanging hams up chimney and mother baking bread. [Side 2] Joe talks about mother's home baking, remembers using wood ash in garden, describes how to make home-brewed beer, briefly discusses local public houses.
