Description
[Side 1] Ronald talks about first jobs on farm, hired by foreman father and worked on several local farms, describes technique for breaking horses in, recalls accidents and injuries incl. occasion when hip broken 'with a beast' [= by a cow], spent year on crutches and lame 'yet' [= now, still]. [Side 2] Ronald talks about recent severe winter, compares haymaking now and in past, describes mowing by hand incl. explanation of 'whet' [= interval between two sharpenings of scythe].
