Description

[Side 1] Rebecca recounts several experiences as midwife, recalls time when young mother and baby died in childbirth before she could assist, describes how woman had had premonition several days earlier. [Side 2] Rebecca describes farm work, recalls milking 'kye' [= cows] in 'byre' [=cowshed] at Crofthead and Netherby, delivering milk by donkey, making 'churn-milk' [= buttermilk], taking eggs and poultry to Netherby, memories of Netherby Hall in past.
