Description

[Side 1] Fred tells anecdote about journey with grandfather to Newbiggin and Newcastle, remembers sitting on back of bus to avoid embarrassment as grandfather had habit of striking up conversation with strangers, Cissie tells anecdote about local character in past who repeatedly woke neighbours up very early by pretending to crow like a cockerel, Fred recalls being terrified when visiting castle as local American lady convinced him there was a ghost. [Side 2] Blank.
