[Side 1] George, Billy and Charlie discuss the old six-man, horse-drawn fire engine, George recalls working on it, discussion of local firemen of the past, mention engine now at Hancock Museum (Newcastle upon Tyne). [Side 2] Conversation between George, Billy and Charlie; George recalls joining local brass band aged thirteen, remembers learning trombone and cornet, discussion of past members, disappointment at present lack of brass band but pride in local pipe band, recall enjoyable trips in past with local choir and footballers.
