[Side 2] Amy and Mrs. McKenzie recall recent day trip to York; conversation between Amy and Madge incl. recital of 'Five Old Wives of Acomb' (frequently inaudible).

Amy & Mrs. Goddard b. Humshaugh. Mrs. Thompson b. Dumfriesshire, lived in Northumberland since aged 5. Madge b. Acomb, lived in Humshaugh for 30 years. Mrs. Hutchinson b. Wall, lived in Humshaugh for 34 years, also lived in Yorkshire. Mrs. McKenzie b. Alnwick, lived in Humshaugh for 31 years.
