Description
[Side 1] Mr Greenside and Thomas tell series of anecdotes about local preachers. Note: Recording date 1952-01-11 noted by ear, 1951-01-18 written on lacquer disc label. [Side 2] Harry recalls an incident delivering 'seed taters' [= seed potatoes] from Ferriby Sluice to Brigg one winter evening, describes horse falling in river at Broughton Bridge, subsequent rescue and overnight stay with farmer in Castlethorpe, horse had recovered by following morning so Harry walked horse home to find wife sat up waiting for him, mentions he still keeps farthing he had left after he had paid farmer and veterinary. Note: Recording date 1952-01-10 noted by ear, 1951-01-17 written on lacquer disc label.
