Description
[Side 1] Bob and William in conversation about life on a Fleetwood fishing 'smack' [= single-masted light sailing vessel], comparison of sails now and in past, description of crew and daily watches. [Side 2] Bob and William compare unpopular 'dark moon ebb' [= night watch from high water to low water] and 'light moon flood' [= night watch from low water to high water], Robert recalls several incidents in Laxey Bay, incl. rescue of crew of 'nickey' [= two-masted Isle of Man fishing vessel], remembers getting drunk on whisky punch and carolling on Isle of Man at Christmas aged 17.
